I am applying for need-based aid.
I am not applying for need-based aid. I just want an estimate of my merit-based scholarship amount.
Need-Based Financial Guarantees are not available until October 1st for domestic students. We will send you an academic merit scholarship guarantee within the next two weeks. After October 1st, please submit all required forms (see below) for your financial aid application. We will then calculate and release a full financial aid package for you.
Whitman College Need-Based Financial Aid Application Requirements
The
Whitman 10% Promise
uses only the
FAFSA
. You also have the option to submit the
CSS Profile
, which gathers more financial information that could lead to additional need-based scholarships beyond the 10% Promise. Check out Whitman's 10% Promise
FAQ
to learn more about when it might make sense to submit the CSS Profile.
Do you plan to submit the FAFSA and/or the CSS Profile?
Do you plan to submit the FAFSA and/or the CSS Profile?
FAFSA Only
FAFSA and CSS Profile
Not sure which financial aid forms you'll submit? That's okay! You are welcome to submit the FAFSA as a starting point and then follow up with the CSS Profile later. If you do submit both forms, we'll automatically review both approaches and offer you whichever option provides the greatest amount of financical support.
If you still have questions, reach out to us at
admission@whitman.edu
and we'd be happy to talk through options.
Additional Need-Based Financial Aid Information Needed
In order for Whitman to connect your financial aid forms to your student record and application, we need you to provide your Social Security Number. All information provided using this form is secure and will be kept confidential.
If you'd prefer not to submit your Social Security Number in this manner, please reach out to our office at
admission@whitman.edu
for an alternative process.
